About Me

The Author is a 30 year veteran of law enforcement.  He has lived and worked in several foreign countries and has seen firsthand people who live under circumstances Without Rule Of Law, or the benefits of the US constitution. He is an avid outdoors man born 100 years too late. He is a graduate of BYU and a published fiction writer.  He now lives with his family in the remote mountains of the Pacific Northwest. After retiring from law enforcement in 2019 B.K Barrett began writing non-fiction, Historical fiction, children's books and short stories.  These experiments reflect a change in career and point of view and are published under the pen name Barrett K. Byers.
